Integrate the light with the vehicle, not after it
Automotive light strips built around trim, power and control constraints
Vehicle ambient lighting must fit narrow curves, survive vibration and temperature changes, and behave predictably with the electrical system. Brightness alone does not solve those constraints.
HHY develops flexible LED strip, silicone light line and control configurations around the trim path, bend direction, voltage, animation requirement and assembly method.
Start with the application constraints
The right system is selected from the visual target, mounting detail, electrical limits and repeat-installation requirements.
Visible Hotspots
Select a diffused light engine and optical path for a continuous trim line.
Tight Curves
Match bend direction, cross-section and minimum radius to the part geometry.
Electrical Transients
Coordinate voltage regulation, protection and grounding with the vehicle system.
Assembly Variation
Use keyed connectors, fixed lead lengths and defined mounting features.
Recommended configuration starting points
Use these as engineering starting points, then confirm the complete assembly in a sample.
| Project priority | Recommended starting point | What HHY confirms |
|---|---|---|
| Subtle white accent | High-CRI or tunable white strip | CCT, dimming curve and trim diffusion |
| Dynamic color scenes | RGBW or addressable strip | Protocol, pixel pitch and controller |
| Curved illuminated trim | Silicone neon or side-bend light | Bend radius and cross-section |
| Repeat vehicle kit | Prewired custom assembly | Leads, connectors, labels and testing |
Recommended product configurations
These product families narrow the specification; final voltage, power, dimensions and accessories are matched to the project.

From project brief to repeatable assembly
Translate a trim concept into a tested lighting assembly
- Review the application: dimensions, materials, viewing position, cable routes and service access.
- Define the target: brightness, CCT, CRI, uniformity, glare and control behavior.
- Build the system: light engine, profile or enclosure, driver, wiring and mounting accessories.
- Prototype and verify: check appearance, temperature, weather exposure where relevant, and installation sequence.
- Prepare for repetition: lock cut lengths, leads, labels, packaging and production documentation.
What can be customized
HHY focuses on the variables that determine whether the system fits, performs and repeats reliably.
Light & Electrical
CCT, CRI, LED density, power, voltage, cut interval and dimming behavior.
Mechanical Fit
PCB width, profile or silicone shape, diffuser, wire exit, clips and exact cut lengths.
Project Kit
Pre-cut leads, connectors, drivers, controls, labels and project-specific packaging.

Automotive LED light strips FAQ
Can automotive LED strips run from a 12V system?
They can be designed for 12V applications, but regulation and transient protection must match the vehicle electrical environment.
Which option gives the smoothest light line?
COB and diffused silicone light engines reduce visible points; the final result also depends on trim optics and viewing distance.
Can lengths and connectors be customized?
Yes. Lead length, connector, wire exit, strip length and assembly labels can be configured after prototype approval.
